No-one knows better than Carolyn what is going on locally as she works as the registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages!  Husband is Gareth with sons Jim and Ross.

Carolyn ‘s concern for the well being of the town was implanted in her by her parents, both former councillors Stan and Beryl Roch.  Many people in P.D. will have fond memories of these two well known councillors who were long serving and both were Mayors in their time.

She has a number of community roles outside of the town council, one of her less well known ones is a member of the Pennar Pathway Project Committee.  She is better known as treasurer of The Pennar and Bufferland Community Association and secretary of Pennar Community Hall (St Patrick’s).  She is also a Labour Party member and in the Pennar Coast-Care Group.

Interests include reading, walking, live music, folk dancing, gardening, swimming, quizzes, looking after her chickens and cooking  (“mmmm . . . roast chicken – my favourite!”)
