Another of the new kids on the block, Darren steps into the shoes of his father Don Esmond, a former town mayor.  A town businessman in the licensed trade, he brings the traders viewpoint as well as the residents of his ward to meetings. He is on the Police consultative committee, the Twinning and Tourism Committee and the Texaco liaison committee.
